PSYCHEDELIC BREATH®
is a guided breathwork session set to electronic music, combining the ancient art of Pranayama with modern neurobiological findings. The term “psychedelic” is derived from the ancient Greek words psychē (ψυχή, “soul”)
and dēloun (δηλοῦν, “to make visible, reveal”), which translates as “mind-manifesting”. Breath is the language of our soul. Breath connects the body to consciousness.
The prefrontal cortex plays a key role in memory function, planning, and organization, and also acts as an inhibitor of spontaneous and intense emotional states. This part of the brain is usually very active during the day.
Its overactivity can lead to overanalyzing
and overthinking, which in turn can lead to self-blame and the growth of our inner critic.
Studies show that breathwork temporarily slows down the prefrontal cortex. Research indicates that during a breathing session, the brain shifts from BETA WAVES, that is,
from normal daytime brain activity, to much slower waves:
